Why Christian Education? Read this post ~ written by Ms. Yanov - Upper Elementary Math & Third Grade Bible Teacher So, at the end of the year, my students receive a "Fruit of the Spirit" award. When we begun our journey together back in August, we discussed all nine, and how fruit, over time and experience and weather, is cultivated. We each chose three we desired to have God grow in our lives through our year as a homeroom family. Today, we looked back, and each of them wrote a few sentences on which they believe the Lord worked with them the most on... and as I read them now, my heart is sweetly broken. I love words, but they pale in comparison to just knowing He is this active in their lives. A few snippets: "Joy... cause I have learned that it's not just about being happy... but having confidence in God." "Faithfulness: I am a man of my word. I'm doing what I say I will. Sometimes, it's hard... but that's how trust is built." "Self-control... my words can hurt people, and they have. God is happier when I think before I do though, so that's what I'm working on... and I think it's working."
