JCS BookJays took home a 2nd place ribbon in the Fall 2019 Interscholastic Reading Competition, put on by AIU8 (Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8). As a group the students read a total of 134 books to prepare for the competition (Jaydon Yoder read all 40 books on the list). There were a total of 38 teams competing.
At the competition, one student said to me, “Next summer I’m not going to waste my time watching TV. I’m going to read books!”
