We had the honor of sending 12 seventh and eighth graders to the ACSI Leadership Conference in Butler this year. The focus was on dreaming big and taking tangible steps to make “waves of change” in the school and local communities. Our students were challenged to not let anyone look down on them while setting an example for the believers as it says in 1 Timothy 4:12. There were sessions of challenge and interactive games and several opportunities for our leadership group to discuss how to best implement changes at JCS. Though it makes for a long day, providing hope and inspiration to our student leaders is something we cannot afford to miss. “I am personally excited to see how God uses this group to be instruments where needed,” said Jason Crissman, history teacher.
