Johnstown Christian School offers a full range of high school curriculum and extracurricular activities providing a comprehensive educational environment that enables each student to discover and develop his or her talents in order to begin to serve God wherever they find opportunity. Numerous Science, English, History and Mathematics courses are dual-enrolled with Penn Highlands Community College and Mount Aloysius College. Students receive three to four college credits for each course taken. The music program is recognized within the Johnstown community for its quality, with students each year participating in district, regional, and state chorus. Each high school student is required to complete community service throughout the year. Each week students participate in chapel services centered on worship and additionally attend a yearly retreat to concentrate on who God is and how He wants to interact with them in their personal lives. In every activity and class, JCS endeavors to help our students think with a Biblical world view that will permit them to see the world as Christ does and then to live in a way that is motivated and guided by the understanding.
Academic Excellence
JCS student SAT scores are higher than the state and national average. They are higher than local school districts. We believe in Academic Excellence and challenge our students to excel.
