Marsha Carr is a retired Elementary teacher and current ASL teacher at JCS. She has been supporting Christian Best Camps of Kenya (CBCK) for more than 15 years. Mrs. Carr has been blessed to come alongside founder Eric Simba on this journey from its beginning.
November of 2019 was her first trip to Nairobi, Kenya to see the people and the places firsthand. “I left a piece of my heart in Nairobi and vowed to continue to support this ministry.” Since then, she has supported CBCK through prayer, financial help, writing Sunday School Curriculum, fundraisers, and in the role of Ambassador on the CBCK BOD.
This September, Mrs. Carr was able to join a team from Vienna Presbyterian Church in Virginia on a mission trip to Kibera. While there, she was able to teach both age groups Sunday School, present a three-day teacher workshop, assist with ‘Days for Girls,’ and join in a women’s prison ministry.
