Ellie Speigle represented JCS at this year’s District 6 Band Festival. Ellie joined 150 other students from 37 school districts for the 2 1/2 day festival held at Meyersdale School District. The host director was Dr. Gregory Martin who is the Director of Bands and Professor of Music Education at West Chester University. The festival culminated with a wonderful concert Friday night that included both brand-new and classic concert band repertoire.
*Ellie’s audition at the festival qualified her for the region band festival held at Altoona High School in March, but she declined to attend due to an already extremely busy schedule.
