On Friday, April 10th, 185 students from 28 different school districts combined at Portage Area High School for the 2026 PMEA 6th Grade Band Fest. Mr. Johnathan Neff, Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at St. Francis University, was the guest conductor. Three students represented JCS this year: Colton Rudnik (Tenor Sax), Geiselle Padmore (Tuba), and Sean Fassnacht (Horn). All three practiced hard prior to and during the festival and contributed to the wonderful concert put on by all the students on Friday evening.
