Spanish Honor Society 2017
On Monday, April 24, five students were inducted into the Miguel Cervantes Chapter of the Spanish Honor Society at Johnstown Christian School. The current officers led the ceremony and welcomed the following students: Joshua Velazquez, Iliana Hunsberger, Daniel Hostetter, Megan Hodges and Brielle Antesberger.
ACSI Regional Speech Meet 2017

Math Olympics 2017
Congratulations to the 28 students who competed in Math Olympics on Friday, April 7. There were six other school competing at Penn Christian Academy in Butler, PA. Jr. High Speech Meet
On Friday, March 31, the JCS middle school held an in-house speech meet where students in sixth through eighth grade enjoyed a one-class period of speech presentations. Regional Band 2017
Lorna Speigle attended the Regional Band Festival March 22-24 held at Richland High school. Regional Band is comprised of the approximately 190 students from 8 counties. The festival was conducted by world renowned music educator and conductor Peter Boonshaft.
Skyping with Alumni in Ukraine
On Thursday, March 9, Johnstown Christian School students in 8th Grade Geography were able to video-chat with 2013 Alumni, Sadie Sprankle, using Skype. Sadie is participating in a year of missions in Kiev with One Mission Society.

ACSI Band Festival 2017
On Friday, March 3, fifteen JCS band students joined with eight other Christian schools for the ACSI Western Band Festival, 2017, held at Porterville Christian School. Students presented “A Night at the Movies through Music.” A full orchestra was present including strings. Songs from The Hobbit, The Sound of Music and Star Wars were enjoyed.
