This past July, Megan Hodges (‘20) traveled to Lima, Peru, with her brother Zachary (‘17), and a group of people from their church, Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. While there, they served many children. They went out into the community and shared a Bible lesson with the children, gave haircuts, painted the girls’ nails, and handed out treat bags that included soap and a toothbrush. A clown made balloon animals, and the team painted the children’s faces. Megan enjoyed playing with the children and forming relationships with everyone. She learned that you do not need material things to be happy.
