Thirteen JCS students were selected to participate in the Somerset County All-County Band Festival held December 4 and 5 at Windber Area School District. The concert consisted of a junior high ensemble, led by guest conductors Mr. Joshua Oldham and Ms. Katie Strong, a senior high ensemble with guest conductor Mr. Joseph Scheller and a percussion ensemble under the direction of Chad Heiny. Mr. Sheller and Mr. Heiny teach and perform primarily in the Pittsburgh area while Mr. Oldham and Ms. Strong are both band directors in Somerset County.
