Upper elementary students at Johnstown Christian School had an amazing opportunity to take a virtual field trip earlier this month, getting up an up-close look at Pennsylvania’s elk herd. Mrs. Carr’s students used Skype, a computer program that allows users to video chat, to connect with the Elk County Visitor’s Center. Thanks to a delivery – students were able to open a treasure chest full of antlers, pelts, bones and more for a hands-on elk ecology experience.
